Hilo Hattie, Touch In Sol and the Hawaii Domestic Violence Action Center team in the Gift of Giving Program

Honolulu-HI Locally owned Hilo Hattie and Touch In Sol Cosmetics will launch the Hilo Hattie and Touch In Sol cosmetic line on, February 9, 2013, in time for Valentine’s Day. The partnership announced today that it will launch its new products through its Gift of Giving program -  to the Hawaii Domestic Violence Action Center 501(c)(3).  

“Valentine’s Day is special and we want participants of this worthy program to know that as a locally owned company, Hilo Hattie is extremely proud to support Hawaii families.  We are thrilled to provide 40 participants of the Hawaii Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC), first opportunity to try our new cosmetics line with Touch In Sol as well as enjoy a complimentary gift from Hilo Hattie, says, Donald Kang, President and CEO.  Each year the DVAC helps hundreds of victims of domestic violence, it is our hope to contribute in a small way, to help victims, get back on their feet.” 

The partnership between Hilo Hattie and Touch In Sol Cosmetics is unique and affordable and will be offered in two Honolulu locations: the Hilo Hattie Flagship Store, located on Nimitz Hwy. and the Hilo Hattie Kama’aina  Collection store located at Ala Moana Center (ground floor mountain side). This extremely affordable beauty-line will consist of two heightened BB creams, lip gloss in three colors and lip tint in two colors.  Each product was well thought and feature Hawaii-inspired names such as:  Cherry Guava, Pink Plumeria and Aloha Hawaii.

On February 9, 2013, the first 100 people to purchase any products from the “Hilo Hattie & Touch In Sol Hawaii Collection” will receive a free gift.  In addition, Kama'ainas will receive a 10% discount with any purchase.

The Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC) provides an array of programs uniquely to address the complex needs of survivors of domestic violence.  The DVAC services have been developed and shaped to work concert with other programs, public agencies and the needs of survivors.  Today, with a staff of 37, DVAC serves survivors of intimate partner violence through a comprehensive array of services that includes, legal representation and advocacy for victims, civil and criminal court outreach, education about dating violence, professional training, public awareness, community mobilization, employer training, advocacy for teen victims, and technical assistance to the public and private sector.
